Job summary

CSL in Newark, Delaware, is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process and to monitor donors and equipment throughout the procedure.

You will use a PDA to record incidents, link equipment to each donor, and ensure accurate donor data entry in the center information system, while following HSE and OSHA policies and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness of potential donor reactions and notify staff.
• Record incidents on a PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Ensure accurate donor data entry in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
