CSL in Syracuse, NY, is seeking a donor pheresis technician to prepare donors, equipment, and the pheresis machine for procedures. The role involves monitoring during the process, responding to alarms, and safely disconnecting donors when complete.

The technician will document incidents using a PDA, link equipment to donors, and ensure accurate data entry in the donor information system in accordance with SOPs.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Mansioni

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Ensure donor safety and communicate any reactions or events to staff.
• Record incidents and equipment usage in the PDA, linking equipment to donors.
• Notify Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
