CSL Houston is seeking a donorpheresis technician to prepare the donor, donor area, and equipment for the pheresis process. You will prepare the autopheresis machine, monitor the donor and procedure, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor when the process is complete.

Maintain alertness to donor reactions and document incidents. You will link equipment and supplies to donors using the PDA, record donor data per SOPs, and notify supervisors of donor flow issues.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations

Responsabilidades

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents using the PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor using the PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the donor information system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs at the center.
• Maintain clean, efficient work environment; ensure supplies and forms are available; follow HSE and OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required; perform other duties as assigned.
