CSL Plasma in Hobart, IN is seeking a donor pheresis technician to prepare donors, areas, and equipment for the pheresis process and to monitor the procedure, ensuring safety and accurate data entry throughout the work period.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least three months of medical environment experience, basic math skills, and may involve bilingual capabilities. Rigorous adherence to SOPs and safety protocols is essential, with potential cross-training across centers.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process completes.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents via PDA, including alarms and events.
• Link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor to donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available. Follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
