Job summary

CSL Plasma seeks a donor pheresis technician to prepare donors, equipment, and area for the pheresis process, monitor the procedure, and respond to alarms. You will maintain donor safety, record incidents in the PDA, and ensure accurate data entry per SOPs.

The role emphasizes strict safety adherence, confidentiality, and potential cross-training in other areas. Prior healthcare exposure and basic math skills are valued assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for pheresis.
• Prepare autopheresis machine for pheresis process.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff.
• Record incidents in the PDA during pheresis (alarms, events).
• Link equipment and supplies to donor in the PDA.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data entry in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
