CSL in Lafayette, Indiana seeks an entry to mid level pheresis support technician to prepare donors and equipment for pheresis and monitor the process from start to finish.

You will use a PDA to record incidents, link equipment to donors, and maintain accurate donor information in the center's electronic system while adhering to SOPs and safety policies. Some cross-training and bilingual ability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment preferred.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Local requirements may vary; refer to local documentation.

Responsabilités

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for pheresis.
• Prepare autopheresis machine for pheresis.
• Monitor donor and process, respond to alarms.
• Disconnect donor when complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff.
• Record incidents on PDA during pheresis and link equipment to donor.
• Log donor data in the electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and maintain safe environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
