Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a donor pheresis support technician to prepare donor areas and equipment, monitor the pheresis process, and respond to alarms. The role includes recording incidents, linking equipment to donors in the PDA, and ensuring accurate donor data entry in SOP-based systems.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety and cleanliness, following HSE/OSHA guidelines, and potential cross-training in other areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations
• Experience in medical or health provider environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to any reaction donor may have during or after the pheresis process and notifies staff.
• Uses PDA to record incidents during the pheresis process, such as machine alerts and alarms.
• Links equipment and supplies used in the pheresis process to the donor in the PDA.
• Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as SOPs.
• Understands policies related to hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintains clean, efficient work environment and ensures supplies are available; follows HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintains confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization's discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
