Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to engage in post-graduate pharmacy activities under direct supervision. You will provide pharmacy consulting, immunizations, and ensure proper dispensing within regulatory guidelines, policies, and workflow optimization.

Responsibilities include patient counseling, drug therapy reviews, and supporting inventory management while enhancing customer experience and ensuring compliance with Good Faith dispensing policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 45 days.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on proper use of medications, side effects, interactions, and generics.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Dispenses prescribed medications accurately and supports regulatory compliance.
• Assists with opening/closing the pharmacy and shift changes, ensuring Good Faith dispensing.
• Supports inventory management, KPI reviews, and customer service enhancements.
