Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a post-graduate pharmacy intern to support licensed pharmacists in dispensation, counseling, and immunization services. You will contribute to medication safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance under supervision.

You will gain hands-on experience in drug reviews, patient consultations, and clinical services while supporting store pharmacy operations and customer care initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited university.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within the district within 45 days of intern hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions, and patient information privacy.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications accurately.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and company policies; assists with opening/closing and workflow optimization.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems (Intercom Plus, StoreNET) and proposes enhancements.
• Provides immunizations and preventive health services to customers.
• Assists in performance data analysis and pharmacy asset protection.
