Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support post-graduate activities under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, providing counseling on medications, interactions, and preventive care such as immunizations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC) required or pursued.
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the Board of Pharmacy, if required.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 45 days of completing intern hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions and safety.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews and medication management.
• Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications accurately as workload allows.
• Supports pharmacy safety, workflow efficiency, and inventory control.
• Administers immunizations and participates in preventive health services.
