Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking an Intern Pharmacist to support post-graduate pharmacy activities under supervision. You will counsel customers on medications, ensure accurate dispensing, and assist with immunizations and preventive health services.

Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will help optimize pharmacy workflows, manage inventory, and support pharmacy financials while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States.
• FPGEC certification or equivalency.
• Intern permit/certificate in the applicable Board of Pharmacy (if required).
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 45 days of intern hours completion.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and generic options.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding and drug therapy reviews.
• Reviews, interprets, and accurately dispenses prescribed medications.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and supports pharmacy workflow efficiency.
• Participates in community outreach and enhances patient experience.
