Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a pharmacy intern to engage in post-graduate activities under direct supervision, fulfilling State Board requirements. You will provide customer-focused consulting on medications, drug interactions, and preventive health services such as immunizations.

The role includes compounding, dispensing, and reviewing prescriptions, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting pharmacy workflow and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an international university and license requirements.
• FPGEC certification for foreign-trained pharmacists.
• Intern permit/certificate as required by the Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions and referrals when needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews and verification.
• Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications accurately.
• Ensures compliance with regulation, company policies and Good Faith Dispensing principles.
• Supports workflow, inventory management and enhances customer experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (from accredited University outside the United States)

Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC)

Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy
