Job summary

Amazon Pharmacy in San Antonio, TX seeks a Pharmacy Manager who will oversee operations, safety, quality and patient experience, leading a small team of technicians and pharmacists while ensuring compliance and efficient prescription fulfillment.

The role requires a PharmD or PharmD-equivalent, active pharmacist license, Lean/process-improvement experience, and flexibility to work schedule Mon-Fri 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with opportunities for growth and development within Amazon's nationwide

Qualifications

• PharmD or PharmD equivalent; Bachelor's in Science.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in required states.
• Experience with metrics, process improvement, Lean techniques.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
• 1+ year staff pharmacist experience at Amazon.
• Licensure in domicile state in good standing.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and patient safety.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with data-driven problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site safety, quality, performance, and customer experience.
• Manage daily operations, CPT times, and partnerships with co-located facilities.
• Evaluate physician orders for drug appropriateness and suggest therapy changes.
• Set expectations, measure performance, and provide feedback.
• Educate staff on policies and quality practices.
• Drive Lean initiatives to meet/exceed operating plan.
• Lead workflow and delegate with senior operations leadership.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal pharmacy laws.
• Coordinate licensure with state boards and maintain records.
• Align with accrediting bodies (BOP, VIPPS, URAC, DEA, FDA, USP).
• Develop talent and succession planning across the team.
• Implement new processes to improve service and reduce cost.
• Maintain patient profiles in PharmacyOS database.
• Other duties as assigned.
