Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support our pharmacy teams in CVS Health retail locations. You will apply didactic learning to real-world practice under a licensed pharmacist, following SOPs and contributing to safe, accurate prescription fulfillment.

You will learn store, district, and regional operations while gaining hands-on experience through a structured roadmap and interactions with leaders in the market. A part-time schedule and immunization support may be available.

Qualifications

Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

Follow SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists and Technicians.
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe prescription fulfillment.
Provide caring service and interactions with patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and by phone.
Counsel patients and gather medical history when appropriate under supervision.
Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify prescriptions when allowed by state regulations.
Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members as directed.
Complete basic inventory activities and cycle counts as directed.
Be flexible for scheduling and travel to stores as needed by the business.
