Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world practice within our retail pharmacy teams. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap, gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations, and contribute to safe, accurate prescription fulfillment.

This part-time internship emphasizes empathy, patient service, immunizations when allowed, and adherence to SOPs and laws.

Qualifications

ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy enrollment is required.
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure.

Responsibilities

Complete a comprehensive training roadmap with KLEs to build pharmacy skills.
Assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
Follow SOPs and store procedures while demonstrating empathy and caring to patients.
Participate in immunizations and other health services as allowed by state law.
Travel to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed.
Maintain inventory activities and cycle counts per policy.
Learn and comply with federal, state, and local laws and CVS policies.
Provide education and support to patients and team members as directed.
