Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a District Pharmacy Leader to oversee up to 25 retail locations across PA. The role drives operational excellence, patient safety, and financial performance through strategic district plans and strong team leadership.

You will partner with pharmacy managers and support staff to ensure compliant, patient-centered service, optimize workflows, and sustain growth across the district while traveling to multiple locations in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Poconos and Hazelton

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy, plus five (5) years' experience in retail pharmacy and with at least two (2) years as a pharmacy manager; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active pharmacist license and immunization certification for the primary state for which the district operates with expectations to obtain pharmacist licensure in all states for which the district operates within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead a pharmacy district of up to twenty-five (25) retail pharmacy locations to achieve operational and financial goals.
• Build an engaged and accountable team with strategic, operational, and people-focused leadership.
• Translate departmental and organizational strategies and communicate district and store-level plans.
• Lead district implementation and sustainment of new programs, services, technologies, and workflows.
• Develop, evaluate, and retain a team of Pharmacy Managers, Staff Pharmacists, and Floating Pharmacists.
• Ensure consistent pharmacy workflow, services, inventory, and compliance with standards.
• Monitor performance data and industry conditions to drive improvements and protect market share.
