Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products within the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records stock levels. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed by management.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and assisting with workflow management under supervision.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Follows all policies related to prescription dispensing and pharmacy operations, including legal and safety requirements.
- Handles telephone inquiries not requiring pharmacist intervention, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains displays, including seasonal and promotional setups, and performs store resets as needed.
- Assists with food and product placement, stock rotation, and inventory control following store policies.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment to provide effective customer service.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
- Handles web order pick-up responsibilities, monitoring and fulfilling online orders.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance through interior and exterior maintenance.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful relationships with coworkers, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification or relevant state certification through ongoing training and education.
- Participates in training sessions, completes required PPLs, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
