Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Processes transactions at the cash register, including handling cash, returns, exchanges, and refunds. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and merchandising of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records transactions as directed by store leadership.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting in prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Supports pharmacists with scheduling and workflow management.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and complies with pharmacy policies and quality programs.
- Follows all policies regarding Good Faith Dispensing during prescription activities.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including those to physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques and files claims for overages, shortages, and damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Creates and maintains displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as needed.
- Assists with food product placement and stock rotation, following safety and policy guidelines.
- Operates store systems and equipment effectively.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos, printing, and promotional products.
- Handles web order pickups and delivery.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance, ensuring a neat environment.
- Adheres to company policies, maintains respectful relationships, and completes additional tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
- Attends training sessions, completes required courses, and stays informed on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
