Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute seeks an Admixture Tech II in Winter Park to perform complex compounding, sterile and non-sterile admixtures, and to coordinate with Physicians and Nursing teams. This role requires expertise in PPE, aseptic technique, and medication handling under regulation.

The position includes traveling 75–100% weekly to meet clinic needs; workdays are Monday to Friday with standard hours, and background checks and vaccinations are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Professional pharmacy technician certification (or equivalent); preferably CPhT from PTCB.
• Minimum one year of experience as pharmacy or admixture technician; IV sterile admixture experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders for accuracy and determine products needed.
• Perform calculations for drug measurements for admixture.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications as ordered with accuracy and timeliness.
• Properly don and doff PPE to ensure aseptic preparation and safety.
• Maintain records/logs for clinical research, waste, temperatures, controlled substances, and audits.
• Order, stock, and dispense medical supplies; manage inventory and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Physicians, Nursing, Pharmacy Operations, and Procurement to ensure patient care continuity.
• Admixture Tech floats travel 75–100% weekly; adhere to safety policies and schedules.
