Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute seeks an Admixture Tech II to perform complex technical drug preparation under supervision. The role involves sterile and non-sterile admixtures, aseptic technique, inventory management, and interdepartmental collaboration in a multi-site cancer care network.

Admixture Techs travel 75-100% weekly to meet clinic needs. Requires at least 1 year of pharmacy/admixture experience and a professional technician certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• College degree, preferred.
• Professional pharmacy technician certification (or equivalent), required; preferably Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from PTCB.
• IV sterile admixture experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders and calculate drug measurements for admixtures.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications as ordered by the prescriber.
• Perform proper donning and doffing of PPE to ensure aseptic preparation.
• Maintain necessary records and logs for clinical trials, waste, temperatures, and inventory.
• Order, stock, and dispense medications and clinical supplies.
• Collaborate with Physicians, Nursing, Pharmacy Operations, and Procurement to minimize interruptions in patient care.
