Job summary

Cencora, Inc. is hiring a Patient Services Liaison to serve as the primary contact for ambulatory pharmacy access and affordability services.

Location is on-site in Clearlake, CA and Ukiah, CA, with responsibilities including benefits verification, prior authorizations, and patient assistance coordination. This role partners with clinic staff and physicians to refer patients to the appropriate pharmacy, drive access improvements, and ensure timely medication therapy.

Qualifications

• Experience with prior authorizations and copay assistance programs.
• Lead tech or other leadership experience a plus (not required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Word and Excel.
• Ability to quickly learn other systems and programs (pharmacy dispensing software, electronic health records, etc.).
• High level of organization and high quality communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide liaison services for patients requiring high-cost retail prescription therapies & infusion therapies, focusing on navigation of access and affordability barriers.
• Effectively processing prior authorizations, identifying and securing patient assistance, routing prescriptions to the appropriate pharmacy.
• Coordinating communication between patients, providers, staff, pharmacy and payers.
• Provide subject matter expertise in retail pharmacy prescription & infusion therapy access and processing; interface with office staff and leadership to identify process improvements.
• Serve as primary contact for high-cost prescription access and affordability; maintain communication to stakeholders and documentation in health records and dispensing systems.
• Educate providers, clinic staff and patients on prescription fulfillment value; deliver world-class customer service.
• Work with internal client pharmacy to coordinate delivery of prescriptions; contribute to KPI reporting for program assessment.
• Participate in client/clinic meetings, lead discussions on prescription access as needed.
• Support the clinic during operating hours and provide backup coverage; may work remote as needed.
