Job summary
Cencora is seeking a remote Pharmacy Technician to support patients needing high-cost retail therapies. The role focuses on navigation of access and affordability barriers, processing prior authorizations, securing patient assistance, and routing prescriptions to the appropriate pharmacy.
You will collaborate with providers, clinic staff, and payers, contribute to process improvements, and participate in KPI reporting.
Qualifications
- Retail pharmacy technician experience of 1–3 years.
- Active pharmacy technician licensure/certification for the relevant state.
- Experience with prior authorizations and copay assistance programs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide liaison services for patients needing high-cost prescription therapies, handling prior authorizations and patient assistance.
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, staff, pharmacy, and payers.
- Serve as primary contact for high-cost prescription access and affordability for assigned clinics.
- Educate providers and staff on prescription fulfillment value within the health system.
- Support delivery of prescriptions from internal client pharmacy and track KPI data.
