Job summary

Wetalentia is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and repair pharmaceutical processing equipment at customer sites across North America, with travel up to 40% during training. The role is based in Fairfield, NJ, on-site when not traveling, and requires hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

You will collaborate with engineering teams in the US and Italy, participate in training, and provide remote and on-site support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience servicing automated industrial machinery.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Good electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley preferred; B&R knowledge a plus).
• Willingness to travel extensively across North America during training.
• Valid driver's license and passport.
• Willing to provide after-hours emergency support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair pharmaceutical processing equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and technical inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues.
• Support machine validation activities and understand pharma industry requirements.
• Provide technical assistance to customers remotely and on-site.
• Collaborate with engineering teams in the United States and Italy.
• Participate in technical training domestically and internationally.
• Document service activities and prepare detailed service reports.
• Shadow current Field Service Manager during training to learn customer management and planning.
