Job summary

Syntegon Telstar NA is seeking a field service technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, and service pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment on-site across the West Coast. This role involves extensive travel and requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, GMP awareness, and customer training capabilities.

Ideal candidates have technical education or 5+ years of hands-on field service experience, a valid driver’s license and passport, and the ability to communicate effectively with

Qualifications

• Technical education or 5+ years of hands-on field service/maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities; safe working practices.
• Experience with industrial equipment in regulated environments (pharma, biotech, food).
• Basic PLC diagnostics and understanding of GMP documentation.
• Independent working style with strong communication and customer-focused mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Install, start-up, commissioning, and service of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment on-site.
• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot motors, pumps, valves, sensors, heaters, PLC I/O, HMIs, and related control components.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support customer operations by providing equipment operation guidance and basic training.
