Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Sr. Superintendent to plan, manage and execute on assigned projects of moderate complexity.

You will lead the team, plan construction sequencing, and ensure timely and profitable completion while coordinating safety, quality, and compliance across multiple trades. The role requires strong scheduling, budget management, and field supervision with a focus on Lean principles and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years construction experience.
• 5+ years field supervision experience.
• Experience with Lean principles preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and mentors staff to ensure injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors, staff, suppliers, and programs (Safety, Quality, EEO).
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates and manages project site care, custody and control.
• Leads meetings and manages project schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager.
• Monitors budget and costs using project management system reports.
• Communicates project information to owners, design teams, and vendors.
• Supports project closeouts with pre-punch activities and owner coordination.
• Supports pursuit process and project pre-planning activities.
