Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Principal to oversee public housing authority audit engagements, lead client relationships, and drive firm growth. The role focuses on PHA, HUD, and compliance audits within a broad Tax/Audit practice, with Responsibilities spanning planning, staffing, and performance reviews.

Ideal candidates will hold a CPA with 9+ years in public accounting, demonstrate strong leadership, and actively pursue new business while representing the firm professionally in the market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and CPA license are required with 9+ years in public accounting.
• Demonstrated accounting and tax rule expertise; produce technically correct work.
• Ability to manage a fee base of at least $1,000,000 as Principal-1 and grow it yearly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional judgment and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engagements from planning to completion with minimal supervision.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews and ensure quality outputs.
• Mentor and develop staff at all levels; provide education and feedback.
• Identify, meet with and pursue new clients and sales opportunities.
