Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Principal to oversee PHA and HUD-related audits within the firm’s public housing and governmental audit practice. The role emphasizes client management, staff supervision, and growth of the fee base.

The Principal will lead engagements, develop new business opportunities, and contribute to the firm’s reputation while traveling domestically as needed. A CPA and extensive public accounting background are required for this senior position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; CPA preferred.
• CPA license required and 9+ years public accounting experience.
• Ability to manage a fee base of at least $1,000,000 as Principal-1 and grow it annually.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional judgment.
• Willingness to travel domestically and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engagements from planning to completion with minimal supervision.
• Supervise and mentor staff at all levels; conduct performance evaluations.
• Identify and pursue new clients; meet annual sales goals.
• Enhance firm brand and client relationships through professionalism and service.
