Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Principal to lead Public Housing Authority audit engagements and related government-audit work. You will oversee engagements, manage staff, and develop new clients while meeting sales targets. The role focuses on PHA, HUD, and compliance audits within our Tax/Audit practice.

The ideal candidate has 9+ years in public accounting, CPA, and strong communication. Travel domestically may be required. Flexible work arrangements and a robust benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA license required.
• 9+ years of experience in public accounting, with leadership responsibilities.
• Ability to manage a fee base of at least $1,000,000 as Principal-1; grow annually.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all client engagements from planning to staffing and delivery.
• Conduct engagement reviews and ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Supervise and mentor staff at all levels; identify development opportunities.
• Meet annual sales goals and pursue new clients; grow the firm’s portfolio.
• Represent the firm externally; contribute to conferences and publications.
