Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join the PET Scan Unit on a full-time, day-shift schedule (10-hour shifts).

You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclide-based procedures under supervision, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with radiologists and physicians, participate in quality control, and contribute to staffing coverage through call rotations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a program in nuclear medicine technology approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
• Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclide-based procedures according to department and regulatory standards.
• Serve as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff.
• Participate in quality control and organizational improvement activities.
• Participate in call schedule to meet staffing needs of the department.
