Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the PET Scan Unit. This full-time Day shift position requires completion of an AMA-approved nuclear medicine program and relevant certification on hire.

The technologist will perform diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclide-based procedures for diverse patients, participate in quality control, and join a call schedule to support the department. Providence emphasizes patient-focused care and professional growth.

Qualifications

Graduate of a program in nuclear medicine technology approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the AMA.
National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology upon hire.
California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclide-based procedures for pediatric to geriatric patients.
Serves as a customer service representative to patients, families, and medical staff.
Participates in quality control and organizational improvement activities.
Participates in call schedule to meet staffing needs of the department.
