Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join the PET Scan Unit.

This full-time position offers 10-hour day shifts and reports to the Department Director and Lead Technologist, collaborating with radiologists and other physicians to deliver radionuclide-based imaging and therapy. The role involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclide procedures for diverse patient ages, contributing to quality control, and participating in call coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a program in nuclear medicine technology approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
• Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclide-based procedures for patients of all ages.
• Serve as a customer service representative to patients, families, and medical staff.
• Participate in quality control and organizational improvement activities.
• Participate in call schedule to meet staffing needs of the department.
