Job summary

Petco Vetco Total Care hospital is seeking a friendly Concierge to welcome clients and patients, answer calls, manage appointments, and support the medical staff. You are the first and last contact, ensuring a positive experience and smooth operations.

Greet visitors, coordinate scheduling, monitor wait times, assist during peak times, and help with room turnover. A high school diploma and excellent communication are required; prior veterinary or customer-service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• At least 1 year experience in veterinary practice or customer-facing role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Compassionate, sympathetic and professional under stress.
• Exceptional telephone and computer skills.
• Team player willing to learn and adapt.
• Preferred: Experience with a Practice Management System.

Responsibilities

• Answer the practice phone and route calls.
• Maintain hospital appointment calendar and online bookings.
• Greet visitors, announce arrivals, monitor wait times.
• Participate in training of new staff.
• Ensure waiting area is cleaned and stocked.
• Confirm appointments by client's preferred method and adjust as needed.
• Provide backup support to technical staff when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
