Job summary

Destination Pet’s The Barking Lot in Providence, RI is seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative to greet pet parents and their furry VIPs with a friendly, can-do attitude. You’ll handle phones, tours, and service sales in a fast-paced pet-care environment.

Responsibilities include check-ins/outs, cash handling, and keeping the lobby tidy while ensuring vaccination records are up to date. Availability evenings, weekends, and holidays is required; compensation starts at $16–$17/hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication across phone, in-person, email.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand/walk for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Welcome pet parents and pets.
• Answer phones.
• Tour facility and sell services.
• Ensure vaccinations are on file.
• Manage check-ins/check-outs with care and efficiency.
• Handle cash and balance end-of-day drawer.
• Respond to complaints with patience and professionalism.
• Escort pets to and from enclosures.
• Keep lobby clean and welcoming.
• Support teammates as needed.
