Job summary

VCA Animal Hospitals in San Jose is seeking a personable Client Service Representative to be the face of the practice, greeting clients and their pets, guiding them to exam rooms, answering phones, and coordinating appointments with a high level of service.

You will present and explain fees, process payments, educate clients on basic pet care, manage medical records, and keep the front desk and facility tidy. The role includes benefits and competitive pay based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Answering telephones and scheduling/confirming appointments.
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and prospective clients.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
• Educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (heartworm prevention, housebreaking, flea & tick control).
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
• Hospital maintenance and ensuring the facility is neat and clean at all times.
