Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Haralson County, GA. The role focuses on home-based care with flexible scheduling, 1:1 client ratios and opportunities to grow through online training and CEUs.

You will assist seniors with daily living activities, mobility, meals, transportation and companionship, clarifying care plans with supervisors as needed. A caring demeanor is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Personal Care Assistant Certificate in GA; Interim can assist with certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification current; TB screening within past 12 months.
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and personal vehicle.
• Compassionate, reliable, good communicator with ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors at home for safe living.
• Assist with activities of daily living, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Aid with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Give medication reminders, document condition and notify supervisor of concerns.
• Maintain a safe home environment and engage clients in activities they enjoy.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and Personal Care Assistant Certificate in GA (Interim can assist with certification)
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Current hands-on CPR and First Aid certification, current TB Screening within past 12 months
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and personal vehicle for transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
