Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver to support seniors in Cobb County, GA, offering flexible scheduling and 1:1 client care. Build skills with online training and CEUs, while providing compassionate, dependable home care.

You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, medication reminders, and safety at home, helping clients maintain independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred and TB test within 12 months (or ability to obtain).
• Valid Georgia driver’s license with auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate and patient-focused attitude with ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors in their homes.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation).
• Assist with ambulation, transferring and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition for supervisor review.
• Create a safe home environment and engage clients in activities to enhance well-being.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and Personal Care Assistant Certificate in GA (Interim can assist with certification)
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Current hands-on CPR and First Aid certification and current TB screening within 12 months
• Valid GAdriver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
