Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Cobb County, GA to help seniors live safely at home. You’ll perform daily living tasks, provide companionship, and support families with dependable, compassionate care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, GA PCA certificate (Interim can assist with certification), CPR/First Aid, TB test, and a valid Georgia driver’s license with transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and Personal Care Assistant Certificate in GA (Interim can assist with certification).
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification and current TB screening within 12 months.
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.
