Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Cobb County, GA to provide in-home support and companionship, helping clients live safely at home.

You will assist with ADLs, mobility, meal prep and errands, document conditions and alert a supervisor as needed, while maintaining a safe home environment.

We offer 1:1 client ratios, flexible scheduling, online training with CEUs, and competitive $15.00/hr pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; GA PCA certificate eligible with employer assistance

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation, companionship)
• Assist with ambulation, transferring and range of motion
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition; notify supervisor of concerns
• Maintain a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Engage clients in activities they enjoy (puzzles, games, reading)

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and Personal Care Assistant Certificate in GA (Interim can assist with certification)
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Current hands-on CPR and First Aid certification and current TB screening within 12 months
• Valid GAdriver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
