Job summary

FIRST SERVICE CREDIT UNION in Houston, TX is seeking a friendly front-line teller to deliver superior service to members. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and cash handling with accuracy while maintaining a neat, welcoming branch environment.

The ideal candidate has up to six months in banking, a high school diploma or GED, and a solid understanding of Bank Secrecy Act and AML requirements. Excellent customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Up to six months of experience in banking and/or cash handling.
• Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations and requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills including courtesy, tact, and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately handle member transactions in person, by mail, or by phone (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cash advances, currency exchanges).
• Issue and balance cash and negotiables; assist with balancing branch negotiables as needed.
• Perform member account maintenance and openings.
• Answer telephone inquiries promptly and forward messages as needed, following up.
• Promote teamwork and assist others when workload requires it.
