Job summary

FIRST SERVICE CREDIT UNION in Houston is seeking a friendly, accurate front-line teller to serve members, process transactions, and promote products and services. You will balance cash daily and support a high standard of member care.

Responsibilities include deposits, withdrawals, transfers, data updates, and answering inquiries, with occasional branch travel and Saturday work as needed.

Qualifications

• Up to six months of experience in the banking industry and/or cash handling.
• Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations and requirements.
• Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential for interaction with members.

Responsibilities

• Process member deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cash advances, and currency exchanges.
• Issue cashier checks, gift checks/cards, reloadable cards, etc.
• Balance daily cash drawer and branch negotiables; assist with official checks as needed.
• Maintain member accounts and data changes; open new accounts.
• Answer inquiries by phone and in person; route messages as appropriate.
• Promote teamwork and assist others when workload allows; travel to branches as needed; Saturdays when required.
