Job summary

FIRST SERVICE CREDIT UNION in Houston, TX seeks a front-line member service associate to deliver superior service, handle transactions in person, by mail, or by phone, and ensure members feel they are our top priority. You will balance cash drawer, issue cashier checks, open accounts, answer inquiries, promote products, and may travel to other branches or work Saturdays.

A high school diploma or GED and knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act/AML are required; up to six months of banking or cash handling

Qualifications

• Customer service, cash handling, and communication with members in a courteous and professional manner.
• Experience with balancing cash drawers and handling negotiables is preferred.
• Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle all member transactions in person, by mail, or by phone (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cash advances, exchanges).
• Balance daily work, cash drawer, and negotiables; issue checks and cards.
• Open or modify member accounts and respond to inquiries; forward messages as needed.
