Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act/AML regulations.
• Up to six months banking or cash handling experience.
• Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in interactions with members and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Handle all member transactions in person, by mail, or by phone (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cash advances, currency exchanges).
• Issue cashier checks, gift checks/cards, reloadable cards, etc., and balance daily work and cash drawer.
• Perform member account maintenance and opening of new accounts.
• Answer telephone inquiries, route messages, and follow up that calls are returned.
• Identify member needs and recommend suitable products/services.
• Promote teamwork and assist others when workload allows.
• Be available for branch back-up and occasional Saturday work.
