Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company seeks a department manager to drive sales and profits in the frozen and dairy sections. You’ll lead staff, schedule shifts, train partners, and maintain product levels to meet Brookshire’s high standards.

You will analyze historical data to forecast demand and uphold strict food safety practices. You’ll promote customer service, ensure accurate inventory, and help execute promotions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Two or more years of related experience in grocery retail.
• High school Diploma or GED.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.
• Licensing/certifications as applicable (AML, HIPAA, TABC/LACT/AATC).

Responsibilities

• Interviewing, hiring, training and developing partners; plan, assign and direct work.
• Review historical data to predict future sales from ads and promotions.
• Maintain and improve sales performance and product quality.
• Ensure food safety standards and proper dating/rotation of products.
• Greet customers and handle questions/ complaints; provide excellent service.
