Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is seeking a department manager for our frozen and dairy area to lead a team, uphold safety standards, and drive sales. You will manage staffing, training, and performance, while ensuring product availability and quality in alignment with BGC standards.

We value customer service, efficient operations, and accurate inventory control, with opportunities for growth within a family-owned retailer across TX, LA, AR, and OK.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two+ years of related experience in retail or grocery.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing, hiring, training and developing partners; planning, directing work and evaluating performance.
• Review historical data to predict future sales from ads and promotions.
• Manage inventory to maintain in-stock levels and product quality.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality and regulatory standards in the department.
• Promote customer service and sales through effective displays and suggestion selling.
• Maintain stock conditions and accurate paperwork for orders and deliveries.
