Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a capable department manager to drive sales and profits in the grocery department while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will lead a team, forecast demand, and implement visual merchandising strategies to enhance customer experience. This role emphasizes strong leadership, safety compliance, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required with 2+ years of related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Position requires 21+ to drive for Company business per policy.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.
• AML certification required.
• Fuel Operator C training required.
• HIPAA certification required.
• TABC/LACT/AATC certification required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train and develop partners; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance.
• Review historical data to predict future sales and manage inventory.
• Maintain sales performance, financial results, public relations, product quality, and work standards.
• Inspect products for quality and safety; ensure within date and rotate stock.
• Promote sales through suggestive selling and attractive displays.
• Maintain stock conditions on grocery displays and shelves.
• Check inventory on trucks, unload products, and manage paperwork.
• Open/close the store; ensure adequate staff and safe cash handling.
• Provide friendly, customer-service oriented attitude and respond to complaints.
• Maintain clean, safe, sanitary working and shopping environment.
