Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Perishables Supervisor to manage the Produce, Meat, Dairy, Frozen, and Bakery areas. You will assist the Store Manager with inventory, merchandising, and customer service to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will train associates on stocking, freshness, and pricing, monitor perishable markdowns, and maintain records while ensuring compliance with health regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and procedures manuals.
• Mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Cash register functions and report generation.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit control.
• Knowledge of inventory and merchandising practices.
• Willingness to obtain required food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in ensuring financial integrity through cash accountability and security practices.
• Follow SOPs, handbook, and company communications.
• Maintain perishable stock levels using current ads, planners, and order guides.
• Train staff in proper presentation, freshness, and pricing standards.
• Ensure safe handling of food and compliance with regulations.
• Record inventory levels and perishable markdowns and take corrective action.
• Provide timely customer service and address customer needs and requests.
