Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Perishable Department Lead to supervise the Produce, Meats, Dairy, Bakery, and related areas. You will support the Store Manager with inventory levels, pricing accuracy and customer service excellence.

Role requires at least a high school diploma and 1 year in retail with supervisory exposure. Training on food handling and safety is provided to maintain compliant, profitable merchandising.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment with six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage Perishable Departments including produce, meats, dairy, bakery to ensure freshness and presentation.
• Assist Store Manager with inventory management, pricing, promotional planning and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations.
