Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience in a retail environment with supervisory exposure preferred.
• Attainment of local/state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in maintaining financial integrity and cash controls.
• Oversee perishable departments (produce, meats, dairy, bakery) and inventory health.
• Train associates in presentation, freshness, and pricing standards.
• Ensure safety and sanitation standards and proper food handling.
• Record inventory levels and perishable markdowns; analyze causes.
• Provide excellent customer service and address needs efficiently.
