Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in ensuring financial integrity through cash accountability and security practices.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels and manage inventory tools and guides.
• Train associates on proper presentation, freshness, pricing, and safe handling of food.
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
• Ensure customer needs and requests are addressed efficiently and courteously.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation standards using the Cleaning Schedule.
