Dollar General is seeking a dedicated Perishable Manager to lead the store's perishable departments, including produce, dairy, meats, bakery and frozen foods. You will support inventory management, merchandising, and customer service while upholding safety and company policies.

In this role you will train staff, monitor stock levels, process perishable markdowns, ensure plan-o-gram compliance and help the Store Manager maintain a secure, efficient operation that serves shoppers daily.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret store processes and safety rules.
• Strong math skills for calculations and cash handling.
• Experience with cash register functions and reporting.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Willingness to obtain required local food handling certifications.

Responsabilités

• Assist Store Manager with cash accountability and security practices.
• Maintain perishable stock levels using planning tools and guides.
• Train associates in perishable presentation, freshness and pricing.
• Record inventory and analyze markdowns to prevent recurrences.
• Ensure customer needs are addressed promptly and courteously.
